Research object is the construction processes, definitions of the motion resistance when using the so-called "dimples" and evaluation of stability of small and high-speed vessels with metal hull structures. Research aim is creation of new design methods of hull structures of small and high-speed metal vessels made of ship hull steels, or aluminum alloys, improvement of their design methods using modern advances in hydrodynamics and reliability theory. Research methods: theory of ship and ship strength, probability theory, mathematical statistics, risk theory, theory of reliability and security. Theoretical and practical results: Requirements are worked out to design of hull constructions. Verification of methodologies of calculation of the external loading operating on the hull of high-speed hulls is conducted. Preliminary recommendations are given on the use of effect of small "dimples" with the purpose of creation of resistance to motion. The most perspective constructions of blocks are formed. Given to recommendation on the use of methodologies of calculation of the external loading. Serial numeral hydrodynamic researches are conducted. Approbation of the most perspective types of constructions of bloks and hulls is executed. The recommended charts of placing of small dimples are worked out. Novelty and efficiency of implementation: on the basis of the comprehensive and systematic research of the problem of improvement of efficiency and reliability of small and high-speed vessels many applied tasks have been done using original ideas. New techniques of construction and design of small and high-speed metal vessels are obtained. Field of Implementation: education (education process of the universities which train specialists in Naval Architect), shipbuilding (design organizations and construction bureaus of Ukraine, Shipping Register of Ukraine), water transport (shipping companies).
