The subject of the study Study the optimal design of the TEM horn antenna in order to achieve harmonization with free space, the analysis of radiation over a short pulse signals by antennas on the basis of irregular TEM horns, also with resistive load. The purpose of the study - Study the optimal design of pulsed antenna with an irregular profile and resistive load, as well as the investigation of the broadband absorption of electromagnetic waves in a thin conductive wires. It has been found that, to improve antenna characteristics, it is necessary to vary the impedance of TEM-mode along the antenna. According to the results of calculation, the optimal appeared exponential law of change in the impedance. To calculate the impedance of conical line, the precise formulas based on elliptical integrals were used. The influence of resistive load on an pulse antennas characteristics was investigated on the example of butterfly antenna. The physical analysis of an ultra-wideband anomalous absorption in thin conducting wires process was made when crossing of absorption is several orders bigger, than the geometric dimensions of the object.
