Kholodny Institute of Botany NASU popup.description2 We carried out a chemical synthesis of molecules of the acylhomoserinlactone class (AHL) - mediators of plant and microbe interrelation. L-homoserinlacton hydrochloride was synthesized according to a partially modified procedure (Natelson, Natelson, 1989). Taking into account hydrophobicity of long-chain molecules of AHL there was developed a system to solve them in water. To solve short- and relatively short-chain (up to 8 atoms of carbon) molecules of АГЛ, a mixture of ethanol and water was proposed. Long-chain molecules of АГЛ were solved in a mixture of ethanol and acetone (1: 1). To avoid the use of acetone harmful for plants, the С12-АГЛ molecule was modified by side ОН group that enabled to solve the compound in water. Winter wheat seeds, primed with С6-АГЛ (80нг / ml) and treated with a water solution of polymer preparation of latex-acryl nature AREAL BS-05 (Ukraine), were sown at the site of the research facilities Pheophania, Institute of Botany. A laboratory vegetation experiment was done. Germinability of С6-АГЛ-primed seeds was shown to increase by 8-15% while their weed mold affection decreased.
