Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, mineralogy and Ore Formation popup.description2 A working laboratory facility for transformation of weakly magnetic iron ores into highly magnetic ores by reducing with starch and facilities for ores annealing in reducing gas medium were created. Facility for separation of highly magnetic iron ores in alternating magnetic field was created. The modes of phase transformations of sample collection and model samples hematite-quartz in gaseous medium were investigated. Optimal time, temperatures, quantity of solid fuel, flow speed of reductive gases for phase transformation of hematite into magnetite were determined. It was prooved by XRD method that hematite transformates into magnetite. Thechnological parameters for created method of ore benefication were calculated and it was shown, that yield of iron concentrate, obtained by created method (66,1 %) was higher that yield for standard methods, and iron concentration in concentrate also was higher (69,7 %). Principles of mechanisms of phase transformations of weakly magnetic iron minerals in gaseous medium.
