The kinetic regularities have been determined and effective activation energies of the mentioned processes have been calculated. The modification of petroleum bitumen by carboxy-containing, peroxy-containing, phenol-formaldehyde and indene-cumarene resins has been studied. The indene-cumarene resin (softening temperature 135 C) was found to be the most effective modifier. The yield of obtained bitumen-polymeric mixtures was 7.5 g per 100g of the initial bitumen. Their characteristics are: adhesion 100% (according to the method DSTU BV.2.7-81-98) and ductility of 36 cm (according to GOST 11505-75). The introduction of carboxy resin with peroxy groups into the polymeric mixture in the amount of 1 g per 100 g of the initial bitumen allows to obtain mixtures with 99% adhesion. Technical requirements for the sample of road bitumen aimed to be used as a component of asphalt-concrete mixtures or bitumen emulsions have been developed.
