The predictions made for the correlation functions can be useful for the preparation of the new program of physical measurements at the LHC. Simulation of the two-photon processes of pion pair production for two virtual photons has been performed with the Monte-Carlo event generator "EKHARA". The results are important for analysis of the data in electron-positron scattering experiments KLOE (Italy), BaBar (USA), Belle (Japan) and BES-III (China). Conditions for stability of strange quark matter in superstrong magnetic fields, which may be formed in the non-central heavy-ion collisions at the LHC, have been studied. It has been shown that the magnetic field induces an electric current in the quark matter with nonzero chirality (chiral magnetic effect). The density of the current has been found as a function of magnetic field strength.
