The content of media for wheat regeneration has been optimazed – regeneration frequency reached 30,7±0,6% on modified MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l BAP and 0.15 mg/l picloram. The antibiotics (timentin and ceftriaxone) have been chosen which both eliminate agrobacteria and enhance regeneration in wheat. As a result of Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation of immature maize embryos (3030 pcs.) of five genotypes with vector constructs containing glyphosate resistance gene CP4 epsps the regenerated plants were obtained on selective media. Workload has been performed to develop genetic constructs bearing glyphosate resistance genes. The approbation of vectors for plant genetic transformation with glyphosate resistance genes was done in tobacco.
