Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 Expression profile of microRNA, responsible for adhesion (miR-200b), invasion (miR-10b, -320a), proliferation (miR-221, -133, -122) and hormonal status (miR-29b, -34a), was identified in human breast cancer cell lines with different malignancy level. It was found that in breast cancer cells of high malignancy level (MDA-MB-468 and MDA-MB-231) significantly increased expression of oncogenic (miR-10b, miR-221) and reduced expression of oncosuppressive miRNAs (miR-200b, miR -34a, miR-320th) was observed. These changes in epigenetic regulation of proteins in MDA-MB-468 and MDA-MB-231 cells induce increase in proliferative and invasive activity and inhibit the expression of steroid hormone receptors. Determination method for assessment of malignancy level of breast cancer cells. Study of expression profile of oncogenic and onco suppressive microRNAs allows to evaluate the malignancy level of breast cancer cells and predict the course of human cancer.
