It was found that Ferroplat is capable to redox-regulation of breast cancer cells with different malignancy levels and drug resistance phenotype. All above mentioned is evidence of increase of ROS level, NO generation rate and decrease of antioxidant enzymes activity (superoxide dismutase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, level of non-protein thiols) under the influence Ferroplat on these cells. The data indicate that one of the mechanisms of Feroplatu action is a violation of pro/antioxidant balance of tumor cells which is indication of prospects for its use in pathogenetically reasonable target therapy of cancer.
