The data of assessment of operational reserves and forecast resources of underground potable water in 2004-2008 were used. On the basis of the analysis the map of the conditions of formation of operational reserves of groundwater in Ukraine was created. The research allowed to identify a powerful factor in the deterioration of groundwater quality in carbonate reservoirs - geochemical processes resulting from the lowering of groundwater levels during operation. The approaches to the determination of the coefficient of piezoconductivity according to the experimental pumping from a single well were defined. 5 guidance documents to assess the state of groundwater were developed.
