Subject of research – estimation of adaptive potential and researching the structure of populations and biocenosis under the anthropogenic pressure. The aim of research – researching structural and functional organization of populations and communities of plants and animals, their adaptation to conditions of transformed environment. Research methods – field and cameral, special methods of appropriate biological sciences (geobotanic, myrmecologic, etc.), methods of statistical processing of results. For the territories transformed anthropogenically many possibilities of bioindication are considered with the application to various botanical and zoological objects, including social insects (ants and bumblebees), coenopopulations of common species - Wild Chervil, the fluctuating asymmetry of leaves of Acer species, and also phytosociological indicators of forest-park communities (on the example of Kiev city). Main changes are established in the studied biological objects which were caused by the anthropogenous impact at levels.of organism, population and phytocoenosis. The assessment of biotopes transformed anthropogenically is carried out using a method of phytoindication. Differences in morphology and populations structures are established from different studied territories. Classification of vegetation transformed anthropogenically is carried out. Results of the investigation allowed to give a complex assessment of a current state of biological diversity in the territories with different extent of anthropogenous impact, to allocate the most unimpaired sites, to compare population and phytosociological indicators of common species from the impaired and rather unimpaired territories, to contribute in the direction of theoretical concept of biota protection in megalopolicies.
