Objective: to identify and assess institutional and socio-cultural factors linked to the economic behavior of the population in general and certain economic agents, public attitudes on tax legislation as well as institutions of the Public Private Partnership, implementation of reforms, and ways to improve cooperation between the state, business and civil society institutions. Methods: individual structured interview (survey), secondary data analysis, statistical analysis. Main scientific results: methodological and theoretical framework of above mentioned concepts were elaborated with respect to their study among population in general and business representatives. The complex sociological survey was conducted including the development databases and data analysis. Scientific novelty: attitudes of public and business representatives on the main directions and problems of modern socio-economic situation in Ukraine were defined and measured. The practical results include conclusions and recommendations on the research subject, such as practical suggestions for the implementation of reforms in the field of Ukrainian economy with respect to the public and businesses needs and demands. Results of the study were presented at scientific conferences. Results were used in the advocacy papers sent to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Committee on Economic Policy in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Materials and conclusions of the study were included to the Modernization Program of Ukraine developed by the Agency of Ukrainian Modernization with the support of Federation of Ukrainian Employers (NGO), individual Ukrainian and foreign experts.
