The study was conducted using conventional breeding methods. For creating varieties we used applied inverse and direct saturating crosses of high-yielding tall varieties with dominant donors of dwarfing to obtain homozygous by the dominant gene Ht synthetic populations that are not segregated on plant height. Studies of the breeding material were conducted on full scheme of selection process. All observations and evaluation of breeding material in nurseries of different levels carried by the method of state variety trials. The obtained yield data of a selected samples and varieties were processed by methods of variation statistics. The analysis of the seeds quality characteristics was determined on the device Infratec-1241.The research results and their novelty. Variety of winter rye Levitan (number 14-13) was transferred to the State variety testing with yield from 3.5 t/ha to 8.5 t/ha in 2013-2015. Selected in the competitive variety testing of winter rye three numbers: 14-13, 13-14, 25-12, which yields exceeded the standard Siverske (7.1 t/ha) respectively by 1.4 t/ha, 0.7 t/ha and 0.6 t/ha.Highlighted in the preliminary variety testing of winter rye best numbers 199-12, 208-12, 201-12, which had a yield increasing 0.6-0.8 t/ha.For two years in a breeding kennel sampled 290 plants from the complex of signs: many-flowered spikelet, resistance to lodging and the main diseases, high grain fullness of ear, a strong link of the root system with soil.Established high positive correlation (r=0.88) between the number of flowers per spikelet and number of grains per spike, suggesting the feasibility of selection for many-flowered spikelet. The average positive correlation also exists between number of flowers per spikelet and number of spikelets in the ear (r=0.58). Low negative correlation is observed between number of flowers, weight of 1000 grains and spike density r= 0.001 and r= - 0.22.Conducted a number of crosses by diallel scheme and obtained seeds of 78 hybrids. We continued the implementation of winter rye varieties Intensyvne-95 Intensyvne-99, Siverske in agriculture production.
