Investigations of a new valuable initial material of winter bread wheat in breeding nurseries. Research methods. The investigations were conducted using conventional breeding methods on the basis of the developed in the previous years the principles of creating varieties of the Polissia ecotype. The primary method of creating initial material is genetic recombination using intra- and interspecies hybridization. Studies of the breeding material were conducted on full scheme of selection process. All observations and evaluation of breeding material in nurseries of various levels was investigated by the method of State Variety Trials. The analysis of the quality characteristics of seeds were determined by the devices Infratec-1241 and SDS-30. The results were processed by methods of variation statistics. The research results and their novelty. Varieties of winter bread wheat Pamiati Hirka, Kesariia Polisska and Tsvit Kalyny (released in 2013), Schedrivka Kyivska and Daryna Kyivska (released in 2012) were undergoing further State Variety Testing.Submitted for State trials in 2015 new varieties Romanivna, Myroliubna, Vodohrai and Spivanka Polisska and executed applications on varieties of Polisianka, Symphoniya and Dovira released jointly with Cherkasska DSDS.In the four points of the studies selected 18 of the best lines that exceed the yield and quality of standards for winter wheat Polisska-90 and the Perlyna Lisostepu and the sown under the yield of 2016: Lutescens 190-13 (of 6.52 t/ha), Lutescens 196-13 (of 6.49 t/ha), 171-180 Lutescens -13 (6,15 t/ha), etc. By results of the analysis of the content and activity of chlorophyll in leaves by the method of induction of chlorophyll fluorescence after over-wintering established better varieties of winter bread wheat Benefis and Mironovskaya-808.In the variety Tsvit Kalyny identified the Glu-B1al allele that causes super expression of Bx7 subunit and positively influences on the quality of the flour.
