Last some years the concept of making of multiple-element coatings of highentropic materials has gained development. Thus, owing to high entropy of mixing, formation of monophase structure in the form of a solid solution replacement is favourable. Presence of heterogeneous atoms of elements with different electronic structure, sizes and thermodynamic properties in a solid solution crystal lattice leads to its essential contortion. It promotes considerable solid-soluble hardening and thermodynamic stability of properties. Examination of structure and properties of multicomponent coatings of nitrides based on the highentropic Ti-Zr-Al-Nb-Y alloy, deposited from the filtered vacuum-arc plasma, and the analysis of influence of parameters of deposition on performances of coatings was the purpose of the given stage of the work. Simultaneously with this examinations the study on revealing of influence of zirconium alloy performances of a synthesis on its surface of coatings based on the titanium alloyed by chromium and aluminium in linking with nitrogen were carried out, and the prospect of application of such approaches is shown. The considerable interest for traditional, atomic and solar power engineering represents possibility of synthesis of diamond and diamondlike layer on a surface of structural materials, that will allow to refine considerably performances of products with such layers. A series of results in this direction is given. The great importance in the report is given to theoretical results of an estimation of possibility of the forecast of a surfacing by heavy ions, including the ionic polishing of a surface in regime of a flashing off of microcusps.
