Studies were conducted on water wells located in the area of Yeristovsky iron-ore open pit, Kremenchug district, Poltava region. Experimental electrodischarge treatment of two water wells with the use of electrohydropulse laboratory equipment is carried out, the results of the possibility for changing their production rate are summarized and evaluated. As a result of experimental treatment of water wells it is found that the electric discharge process is stabilized due to the abundance of mineral inclusions in groundwater filling the wells of the southern flank of Yeristovsky iron-ore open pit and leading to a decrease of the specific resistance of the discharge environment. Thus, the use of electric equipment open type for regenerating water wells is ineffective.
