Objective - creation of the fundamental scientific and technical bases for the development of composition and technology of production of specific types of new advanced multilayered and nanostructured metal composites - mikrolaminates which exhibit the dependence of their properties and functional characteristics of the thickness of the structural component Research methods - cumulative-cyclic method of making composites that combine vacuum hot and cold atmospheric rolling; heat treatment; microstructure analysis; mechanical testing, methods for the study of electro physical, magnetic and radiation protective properties of the composites. The developed experimental technologies of strips producing of multilayer composites of different composition with a specific number of layers (with per 1 mm of the total thickness of the composite) from 5 to 5400, and with different ratios of the volume fractions of the components are described. Dimensions and weight indexes of the strip: thickness - up to 15 mm; width - up to 100 mm; height - up to 500 mm; volume - up to 600 cm3; weight - up to 5 kg. Shows the experimentally established data on mechanical, electrical, magnetic, radiation-protective properties of microlaminates and multilayer composites of various types are shown. Dependences of investigated properties and functional characteristics of the composites on the basic parameters of the internal architecture - type, volume fraction and the specific amount of the metal layers comprising the composite are formulated. It is shown that mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties of the copper-steel microlaminates with a specific number of layers more than 102 10 - 20% above the properties of composites with a small number of layers. The results of experimental studies of the evolution of thermally activated structural-phase state of transition zones in layered composites of austenitic and pearlite steels are described. It is established that radiation-protective properties of the composites aluminum-lead system 30-40% higher this characteristic of aluminum. Experimentally proved the reality of the existence of the dependence of properties (in particular mechanical, electrical, magnetic and radiation-protective) large size composites on the thickness of their components, which is typical for small size film structures. This indicates the possibility of existence in large size composites and other nanostructural effects, inherent to small film structures, and the degree or power of such an existence will be significantly more than in the film structures. Keywords: metal microlaminates and multilayer composites; vacuum hot and cold atmospheric rolling; the properties of mechanical, electrical, magnetic, radiation-protective; microstructure.
