These problems will be solved with the use of paleopedology methods and methods of generalization of long-term observations on modern soils, simulation modeling and isotopic analysis of soils and plants. The main objects of researches are located in the Prut-Dniester and Precarpathians highland areas and Forest-Steppe province of the Left-Bank in Ukraine.
