Its methodological approaches are outlined in the guidelines "Improving the technological quality of sugar beet with the aid of breeding and genetic methods" (Kyiv 2013) and "Creating of the female component for sugar beet hybrids" (Kyiv 2014). The phenotype structure of the CMS hybrids on the signs - constituent elements of technological quality of roots is determined. For the first time proved is feasibility of using Additive - Dominant Model for assessing genetic value of breeding lines according to the content of mineral elements in them. Comparative assessment of the efficiency of individual and family recurrent selections for improved technological quality of roots has been carried out. Correlations between the 11 characteristics affecting sugar yield in sugar beets are determined.
