Purpose of work - justification and development of the concept of forage production stabilization in market conditions, with the definition of optimal forage production volumes in Ukraine for the revival of traditional livestock industries and strengthening of food security. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study was a dialectical method of cognition. During the research were used both traditional and specific methods of economic research, abstract and logical, comparison, monographic, calculation and constructive, correlation and regression analysis and absolute and comparative advantage. Based on the analysis of the current state of feed production in terms of regions and climatic zones are defined strategic goals of transformation and priority measures on stabilization of forage production in Ukraine. Was formed informational and analytical framework for comprehensive assessment of potential domestic feed production. Taking into account regional characteristics that outlined the main directions of innovative technical and technological improvement of forage production. Was substantiated a perspective forage resources need for the revival of traditional livestock industries. Were considered questions of improvement of organizational structure and management of process "production-preparation-saving-use" of feeds.
