The object of study - the tail intervertebral discs of the spine of rats in an experimental model of osteoarthritis and chondrocytes derived from the material of removed herniated disc of patients. The purpose of research - to develop and implement in clinical practice the technique of autologous chondrocyte cell transplantation for the treatment of patients with herniated discs in the lumbar spine. The literature on experimental models of osteoarthritis was analyzed. On the basis of the analysis the reproducible model of degenerative intervertebral discs of the spine injury in rats - asymmetric static compression-distension was developed. The results of pre-clinical testing for the development and introduction into clinical practice of high-tech method of treatment of patients with herniated lumbar disc with autologous chondrocytes.
