It is shown that the application of the sol-gel process in the synthesis of some of them (SrLi2SiO4, Ca3Si2O7) reduces the duration of the heat treatment, to avoid the use of fluxing material and have an average particle size not exceeding 1-2 µm. It was concluded that due to its favorable spectral-luminescent characteristics luminescent materials SrLi2SiO4:Eu2+and Ca3Si2O7:Eu2+ are promising for the creation of LED light sources based on the Ga(In)N-diodes emitting in the UV and blue spectral regions.
