The aim: to develop a new method of computer modelling of radiation defect formation in Al alloys under reactor irradiation, with application of ion beams. Research methods: A new approach in Molecular Dynamics. The results of research: To study radiation-induced processes caused by incident particles in the chosen interval of the energy spectrum the modification of classical MD was performed. The so called "shock function", FSH was introduced into standard scheme of MD. This function determines the magnitude of force that acts on the lattice atom.For concretization of the action of FSHa random function is introduced that indicates theknocked atom, the energy from the chosen interval and the direction of the hit. The computer program based on the modified MD method is developed to model defect formation as a result of elastic collisions in materials with significantly different atomic masses (for example U-Al). It is found that in the certain intervals of the energy spectrum of incident particles so called "heavy clusters" consisted of heavy atoms (U - clusters in U-Al alloys) are formed. The dependences of the probability of "heavy clusters" formation on the mass ratio are calculated. The modelling of ion bombardment of the triatomic crystal showed that the developed approach allows predicting the features of clusters formation in different intervals of the energy spectrum of incident particles. We concluded that the ion irradiation of multiatomic crystals with significantly different atomic masses in the certain energy intervals leads to formation of "heavy clusters". The area of application:The results may be usedin the case of modelling of the action of reactor irradiation by ion beams, in creation of track devices and for modification of electronic materials.
