Objective: to develop an effective method for investigating the density of dislocations in crystals of titanium aluminide, and studies of the effect of the induction zone melting in its spatial distribution. Methods: X-ray methods for determining the density of dislocations; method for the determination of residual stresses from the analysis of the physical expansion of X-ray lines. The results and their novelty: An effective method for studying the density of dislocations in crystals of titanium aluminide. For the first time we found that satisfactory accuracy study of the defect structure of crystals of titanium aluminide is provided by the calculation of the density of chaotically distributed dislocations in approach N.A. Krivoglaz to increase the X-ray line and the subsequent determination of residual stresses and the size of the coherent scattering region. First established the spatial distribution of dislocation density and the residual stress in the crystals of titanium aluminide from 10-12 weight percent. It was determined that the optimum defect structure of crystals of titanium aluminide is formed by the action zone melting. When the band remelting alloy Ti2NbAl dislocation density and residual stress has a minimum at the bottom of the samples.
