The best samples of self –fertile lines based on the productivity (77-131 g/plant), high adaptive power to the local ecological conditions had been singled out. The “Methods recommendations on the monitoring of stem dieback and root rot of maize” had been worked out for the use by the selection workers when defying the resistance of maize samples to the affection by the stem and root rot.
