The methods approaches on creating the competitive lovage varieties had been grounded and disclosed, the assessment of the source material of the already created material based on the basic characteristics had been made, the optimal selection scheme for the obtaining of the sorts of spicy-aromatic plants had been defined, the selection optimization according to the basic characteristics taking into account the peculiarities of inheriting the morphological characteristics had been conducted, implementation of the practical use of the new approaches to the creation of the competitive sorts and hybrids of the mentioned above varieties had been made.
