Methods XRD, EXAFS, ESR, IR-, UV-visible spectroscopy were used in investigations. In the work the technology of obtaining of nano ZrO2, and heterogeneous ensembles ZrO2-ZnO was developed. For ZrO2 is shown the influence the nature of the anion type on defects (in the cation or anion sublattice) that give sublevels in bandgap of ZrO2 and makes its photosensitive. For ZrO2-ZnO is shown the possibility of varying of structural and optical properties by the action of dopant concentration and temperature. This effect is due to the change in the solubility of ZnO in ZrO2. It is shown that the use of chemical co-precipitation method for creation of ZrO2-ZnO ensembles allow to achieve the same optical properties of the material at lower concentrations of ZnO than at using of mechanical mixing method. The relevance of social and practical significance of the work due to the potential for the use of such powders as a functional fillers and photoactive and sensor materials.
