Subject of research - methodological bases and applied aspects of the analysis, an assessment and activization of the region TRP use in the conditions of open economy. The purpose of work - definition and justification of the concept "tourist and recreational capacity of the region", identification of its elements, an assessment of a state and development of practical recommendations on its building and use activization. Main scientific results of work: the concepts "tourist and recreational capacity of the region" are defined; the region TRР main components which are analysed by methods of expert and ball estimates, the comparative rating analysis are revealed; methodical approach to an assessment of TRP of a separate administrative and territorial unit which is based on application of single and integrated indicators is developed. Practical value of the received results is that the offered scientific approaches give the chance to increase efficiency of administrative influence of executive authorities and local government on building and activization of use of TRP of a concrete administrative and territorial unit.
