N. Sokolovski" popup.description2 The object researches - indicators of soil fertility and quality. Purpose - improving soil monitoring, assessment and management of environmental risks of soil degradation in agriculture. Methods of researches - field experiments, statistical and mathematical analysis. The results of research - established the maximum parameter changes indicators of fertility, which are caused by seasonal dynamics of soil processes, and determine their impact on the variability of long-term changes, was refined the list of obligatory indicators for monitoring of soils, developed ways to reduce short-term variability in the values of mobile forms of nutrients and biological activity. On the example of podzolic chernozem substantiated optimal frequency of monitoring observations for identifying significant changes in physical and chemical, agrochemical and biological indicators of fertility. Developed the conceptual model of the state of soil conservation monitoring. Presented a new conceptual methodology for assessing the risk of occurrence of degradation arable lands in order to ensure their timely detection. It was proved that the most reliable way to advance risk assessment of soil degradation is forecast (balance), which allows refine and verify the information provided by the monitoring of soil and land classification.
