Their advantages and disadvantages when used in the "day-ahead" market (MDA) in Ukraine were identified. The research was carried out and means for analysis of the effective accounting of network constraints on MDA and the balancing market of electric energy in Ukraine were proposed. A critical analysis of market coupling method for "day-ahead" market in the EU was investigated. The properties of net export functions, affecting on the results of the exchange of electricity between price coupling areas were studied. A unified method of connecting price areas of the electricity market was developed. It takes into account power flows between these markets, which in contrast to the existing methods, allows to consider network constrains for a variety of markets and the specific areas, are not affected from changes in the structure of the electric network and involves minimizing the difference prices in these markets. On the basis of performed research and the proposed methods and algorithms were developed practical algorithms of modeling MDA. The estimation of efficiency and effectiveness of MDA simulation features, transfer them to practical use were performed.
