It is designed the generalized structure of a distributed multi-level intelligent system for monitoring and diagnostics of electric power facilities, which is consistent with the principles of Smart Grid concept: distribution of computing resources between the components of the system, online bidirectional exchange of information between them. The main functions of the system are: adapting to the peculiarities of the structure of power generation facilities; measuring and transmission of diagnostic information without involvement of the operator; detection, localization and classification of defects according to their severity; alarm upon detection of critical defects. Manufactured and tested prototype system, which contains a number of blocks, which represent units of different levels, built on the use of miniature single-board computing units and personal computers. Developed software that controls the mutual work of those modules. Experimental verification showed the efficiency of the developed prototype system, in particular, the possibility of a reliable bidirectional data exchange between the individual modules of the system.
