The aim of the research – determination of criterions of efficient of transformation of starch to bioethanol. Research methods – standard and innovative methods to create lines, biochemical and statistical analysis. Theoretical and practical results: the bioenergy potential assessment of initial material of winter wheat and triticale for their paternal starch content, its fractional composition, bioethanol production per a grain and area unit. It was found that Wx and Ha genes make dominating impact on a fermentability index of grain starch. There were created and transferred to the State variety testing the waxy winter wheat and triticale varieties with genetically modified starch and increasing appearance of bioethanol.
