Objective – to investigate the genetic diversity and the influence of genes determining growth and development, as well as the D-type cytoplasm of Triticum tauschii on the formation of economic-valuable traits for identifying the future use in wheat breeding for adaptability. Research methods – genetic analysis, artificial freezing, cytological and statistical methods, phenological observations, analysis of yield structure elements. It was shown a significant genotype influence on wheat cultivars and F1 hybrids variation for the traits of «length of the closing cells» and «the density of stomata», the inheritance of these traits in F1 and F2 and their relation to frost resistance were studied, the efficiency of frost resistant genotypes selection in F2 by stomatography characters was shown. The genotypes of 64 RIL F9 Orenburgskaya 48/Cappelle Desprez 2B were identified by the genes Ppd-В1с and Vrd2, and their effects on the duration of the period to heading, winter hardiness and frost resistance, grain yield and some its components were revealed. The cytoplasm of Aegilops tauschii did not affect the manifestation of economically valuable traits in sibs alloplasmatic lines of Albatros odeskiy and Obriy cultivars, nevertheless regardless of cytoplasm the lines were significantly different on a number of traits. The response to vernalization and photoperiodic sensitivity were evaluated in modern alternative bread wheat cultivars, their genotypes on Vrn-1, Ppd-1 and Vrd gene systems were identified. For most studied stocks of winter bread wheat (from 111) it was characteristic the law or medium low lewels of sensitivity to photoperiod and vernalization requirement of 40-45 days. 22 barley stocks revealed alternative type with short vernalization requirement and high photo reaction, but 16 stocks showed winter type with vernalization requirement of 30-40 days and medium level of photo sensitivity. It was created 306 lines BC1-3 I2-3 in the cytoplasm of Aegilops tauschii, using as the initial material in plant breeding.
