The methods of the investigation: statistic, clinical, laboratorial (microbiological, immunological and histological), roentgenologic. The microbe spectrum and species composition of anaerobic and aerobic microflora, vegetating in maxillary sinuses at different forms of chronic odontogenic (iatrogenic) maxillary sinusitis was determined. The difference in the contents of microbe microflora of maxillary sinuses and morphological shifts in the structure of Shnaider membrane, depending on the nature of foreign body in sinus lumen, was revealed. The degree of proliferation (KI-67) was studied. The information value of the various roentgenologic methods of the study of maxillary sinuses and bordering on them teeth at chronic odontogenic and iatrogenic maxillary sinusitis was estimated. The roentgenologic differentially diagnostic signs of foreign bodies, found in maxillary sinus, were pointed out. The reasonability and obligatoriness of the application of cone-radial computed tomography in the treatment of premolars and molars of upper jaw for the qualified treatment and prevention of inflammatory complications from maxillary sinuses was shown. The influence of the current endosealants on microflora of periapical tissues at treatment of chronic periodontitis of maxillary teeth was specified. Chronic periodontitis of upper jaw molars was determined to result in the development of grave pathological state in maxillary sinuses, that in 70% of cases is complicated by chronic odontogenic maxillary sinusitis, correction of which can be hard and not always effective. The comparative analysis was held; the effectiveness of the new surgical methods of elimination of oroantral and oronasal connections at different clinical situations was confirmed clinically. The results of the research were introduced into practical medicine. Their effectiveness was proved by clinical and laboratorial investigations.
