Realized metallographic, durametric and fractography study these samples. Developed and tested method of cyclic tensile test specimens made from fuel element tubes (rings with hubs). Determined fatigue durability of samples in the state of delivery. Done chemical and thermal processing circuit samples with concentrators in oxygen gas atmosphere with different oxygen content were treated. Studied fatigue durability cyclic tensile specimens (rings with stress concentrator) made of fuel element tubes after thermo-chemical treatment in the rarefied oxygen gas environment for different modes. According to research was selected the optimal regimes thermo-chemical treatment of fuel element tubes. Methods thermo-chemical processing of zirconium alloy products Zr 1 Nb in controlled oxygen- and nitrogen-containing environments that can increase the hardness of the surface layer (thickness 15-40 microns) to 1.5 times, improve fatigue durability of zirconium products to about 30%; increase the tensile strength and yield strength of the alloy limit without a noticeable decrease in ductility; reduce the rate of oxidation products; prevent hydrogenation of the alloy during operation in order to prevent delayed hydrogen cracking shells fuel element tubes.
