The method of research: empirical and mathematical research methods. Numerical values of atomic structure scales (length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, amount of substance) are determined to be used for determining the values and conditions of their change under external influence based on dimensions of physical characteristics of liquid metal. Three dimensionless ratios of structure-sensitive characteristics are obtained from which it follows that the properties of the liquid metal system cannot be studied in isolation, but only in a system of their interacting properties defined by the dimensionless ratios. It is shown that the most efficient instrument of analysis of the processes of restructuring of the melt and changing its thermodynamic characteristics responsible for the crystallization ability of the melt is the chemical potential of the system with respect to the parameters of the superimposed electric field. During a physical experiment the effects of direct and alternating current on the melt are compared. The value of the current amplitude that separates the prevailing power and thermal impact is found.
