The purpose is to establish the possibility of using the electrodischarge technology in the disposal of products of electronics manufacturing and to identify technological schemes and the required process parameters. The research method is experiments with statistical processing of results. Used methods of disposal due to mechanical and electrochemical mechanisms do not provide a quality solution because of the complexity of separating metal components from plastics. The exploratory research on the use of the electric discharge for this problem revealed the following solutions: separation of the components at 90% of printed circuit boards with a plastic base of section up to 1 mm by crushing and grinding; separation of the components at 80 % of printed circuit boards with a plastic base of section more than 1 mm by separation of the plastic base material from the surface without its destruction. To improve the efficiency of separation of components, the special coaxial electrode system of a cumulative effect is designed and tested. Schemes and parameters of the electric discharge as a new mechanism for use in the disposal of electronic production are experimentally established. Recommendations for process development on the use of the electric discharge in boards disposal complexes are prepared.
