Layers of materials were interchanged. It was measured and calculated values of the coefficients that determine the noncommutativeness of quanta passing through the heterogeneous layers of two or three materials. It was simulated spectra for different incident radiation, in the experiments it was the radiation sources 241Am, 57Co, 137Cs, 60Co, 90Sr-90Y. The range of energies in experiments with the passage of gamma-quanta was 60 keV - 1.33 MeV. It is shown that: - multi-layer protection for electrons and gamma quanta, as a rule, more effective in the case of arrangement of a light material to the radiation source at energy range of 0.2-20 MeV; - the difference in the passage of gamma rays and electrons is about 2-3 times and depends on the energy of incident radiation and the thickness of the protective material. Noncommutativeness of radiation passage increases with the growth of build-up factor (thickness); - when the energy of incident radiation close to the energy of K-, L - absorption edge for heavy item there is the effect due to CXR generation, when the defense is more effective in the case of location of a heavy material to the radiation source. This effect is most significant for thin foils.
