The aim - development of automatic of frequency and power control in the IPS in terms of creation of special adaptive control techniques that take into account technological properties unique to IPS, and thus provide higher performance and quality of regulation compared to traditional methods; creation on the basis of the new structure of the AFPC using controllable load; determination by digital simulation basic technical and economic characteristics of the adaptive power systems, which are integrated, flexible system AFPC with consumers, regulators. The study developed a mathematical model of AFPC with controllable load containing differential equations balance of power, electromechanical processes in generators and loads and depending laws for regulation. For the calculation developed software and information complex, using which it was proved that very good performance with speed and precision system AFPC provide proportional-integral-differential and proportional-integral laws. The model of AFPC in which laws are based regulation, in addition to the above, a more effective methodological base, namely the principle of adaptation. Using adaptive models AFPC system was carried out a large number of calculations of transients in the power system in emergency stop units and their comparison with calculations when adaptive component is absent.
