The goal of the research is improving existing and developing new models and methods of data mining applied to the hydrogeological research data for modeling multidimensional relations under conditions of incomplete / not fully defined input data. A model and a decision support system based on interval fuzzy sets were developed. It creates a mapping of an input vector into an interval of values of the output variable. The span of the interval characterizes the uncertainty attached to the decision taken. A wide interval indicates that the information accumulated at the current stage is not sufficient for taking a decision, and further research is recommended. In case of a narrow interval it is possible to build an approximate evaluation of the system's condition in advance, based on the accumulated data. The developed system can operate on incomplete data, which makes it possible to use it on any stage of a hydrogeological research. Software for calculating an artesian well potential class was developed. Well potential is a nominal complex index, the value of which provides an estimation of how successful groundwater mining in a given location would be, in case hydrogeological research follows its present course. The main objective of this index is to point to potential difficulties in further work with the well on early stages of the research. The application area is 71.12 - Activity in the area of engineering, geology and geodesy, providing technical consulting services in these areas. Results of the research may be used on intermediate stages of geological exploration for approximate estimation of the groundwater mining potential.
