Purpose - to study ecological - plastic forms of Nizhynskyi cucumber cultivar and to create early-ripening, high-yielding lines and varieties with high taste and fermenting quality of fruits. Methods: field and laboratory. Results. Immunological assessment of collection material for resistance to false mildew has been conducted and 7 low-susceptible to the disease samples were selected. Among breding material 12 early-ripening forms, 23 samples with a long period of fruiting and 4 samples with excellent taste and performance enzyme producting have been identified. Variety Mif was singled out by complex of traits and was transferred to the State strain testing network. . The scientific-practical guidelines "The technology of growing, primary links of seed production and measures improving seed productivity for cucumber varieties and hybrids in an open ground." were elaborated.
