To create a new source material and spring barley varieties with high potential of productivity, resistance to biotic and abiotic environmental factors. To optimize elements of the technology of seed growing seeds for new barley varieties under conditions of right-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. Methods of study are common for breeding cereal self-pollinating crops. Results. Elements of technology of growing new varieties of spring barley bred at Myronivka were optimized. At all levels of breeding process a new breeding material that exceeds the standard in performance, resistance to abiotic and biotic factors has been created, evaluated and selected. The lines prevailing standard for yield, resistance to abiotic and biotic factors were identified in the competitive strain testing and transferred to the State strain testing in Ukraine as new barley varieties: MIP Myrnyi (Application No 14020008), MIP Saliut (Application No 14020009), MIP Sotnyk (Application No 14020007), MIP Azart, and MIP Bohun.
