Research method: methods of theoretical researches, namely a historical method is at approach of the systems, when the object of study is examined in an origin and development. Thus approach of the systems consists in the complex study of object as certain unity with the concerted functioning of parts and unit. As a research object is the difficult взаємопов'язаною multielement system (includes such hierarchical levels, as a municipal environment, her fragments, architectural complexes and ensembles, separate building and building), then for his study the methods of structural genetic analysis and synthesis are applied. The methods of the bibliographic, cartographic, iconography researches archived,, and also methods of empiric researches, are applied: supervision, model researches, comparisons and mapping. It is conducted working, analysis, systematization of the collected data. Results: Preparation of analytical materials about the state of development of historical town-planning documentation on the historical cities of Western Ukraine.
