Aim: to study changes in the relationship of nitric oxide and its synthases activity with indicators of the state of apoptotic processes in the cells of TG of patients and peculiarities of the various thyroid diseases. Methods: biochemical, statistics: spectrophotometer, photoelectrocolorimeter, pH-meter, centrifuges, thermostat, calculator. Results: determining the level of metabolites of nitric oxide and activity its synthases in intact tissue thyroid, tissue with signs of pathological changes, in tissue nodules of patients with euthyroid nodular goiter or tissue of diffuse toxic goiter, benign and malignant tumors and metastases last show the most significant that the changes in the functioning of nitric oxide generation system depends on the characteristics of the disease, the severity of pathological changes in the tissue, the peculiarities of its structure and the structure of the papillary carcinomas. The involvement of systems generating nitric oxide in the processes of cell transformation, progression of tumo rgrowth, inflammatory and autoimmune reactions can be mediated the initiation or inhibition of apoptosis. Theoretical and practical novelty: the findings are new and important information that will be used in further studies to establish the pathogenic mechanisms of formation of thyroid pathology. The novelty and advantages over the analogs: difference between the study of existing and its novelty is a detailed study of the system of generation of nitric oxide in the tissue of gland with different pathological changes, and analysis revealed changes depending on a number of clinical, functional and pathological characteristics of the disease.
