The purpose of the research is to estimate the effect of information costs on economic performance of enterprises and development of guidelines to choice of activities to control them. Research methods are correlation and regression analysis, economic-mathematical modeling. The level of information costs and their impact on the effectiveness of the enterprise were estimated. It was found that the information is used as a resource in the organizational and production processes, but the level of capital information costs is low. It is proved that the growth of the capital information costs has a positive effect on the activity of the processing enterprise. There are information losses during use (consumption) of information products (services). Developed matrix approach to the selection of a complex of management activities to optimize information costs and proposed methods of monitoring of information losses. The practical implementation of these recommendations will help to identify sources of growth of enterprises efficiency in terms of formation and use them resources for information process. The results of research implemented in the management decision-making processes to optimize the information costs.
