The corrosion-resistant mineral-based matrix of zircon, pyrochlore, yttrium aluminum garnet, magnesium aluminum spinel and NZP-phosphate ceramics were synthesized during this period. The main attention was focused on the definition of the conditions of mono phasic content of the matrix material formation. As the barrier materials the using of oxide-based ceramics based on cordierite, Al2O3, ZrO2 and compositions were proposed. Nanopowders obtained by co-precipitation from salt solutions of components and large industrial manufacturing oxide powders were used for ceramics producing. The produced barrier and matrix materials were made by different methods of powder metallurgy cold pressing + sintering, cold pressing + hot pressing and electro consolidation. Also, a comparative estimation of the environmental safety of different disposal types with metal and ceramic containers was made by mathematical simulation methods.
