The purpose was to investigate the interaction of the cells with nanostructured surfaces of doped dielectric and electret films as well as to select the coatings, on which their adhesion and proliferation are strengthened or weakened, as well as to create a model of cell adhesion on the surface with a specific nanostructure and an electret state. Research methods: flow cytometry assay, immunological and biochemical methods, confocal and inverted microscopy, in vitro culturing. The used equipment was as follows: SF-46 spectrophotometer (LOMO), clean room for cell culture, CO2 incubator, inverted microscope (AXCIOVERT), light microscope (LOMO), confocal microscope (LSM 510 Meta, Carl Zeiss, Germany); flow cytometer FACS Calibur (Becton Dickinson, USA). There was comparatively studied the effect of doped dielectric and electret Ta2O5 nanocoatings on functional capacity of monocyte-macrophage system cells. There was demonstrated the dependence of adhesive potential, the indices of phagocytic and metabolic activity of the cells studied on the properties of tantalum nanocoatings. It has been found that the adhesive capacity of phagocytes cultured on Ta2O5 was lower if compared with the controls (glass). Treatment of tantalum substrate with argon ions did not increase the adhesive ability of phagocytes if compared with the untreated substrate. In contrast treatment of Ta2O5 coating with electrons contributed to a stimulation of the adhesion, phagocyte and metabolic activity of the cells of monocyte-macrophage system. Based on the studies performed there were selected the nanocoatings, stimulating or weaking the functional properties of the cells.
