Objective: to study the features of the hydrochemical regime formation of different types water bodies under the extreme influence of environmental factors, such as sharp changes in temperature, display of point sources of pollution, intensity and direction of interactions in the system "sediment - water" and others. Methods: titrimetry, ionometry, spectrophotometric, photometric, chemiluminescent, ion exchange, and gel chromatography. Results and novelty. On example of surface water bodies in urban areas, including small water bodies of Kyiv City, the features the formation of their hydrochemical regime for the extreme action of above mentioned environmental factors are found. The formation of anaerobic zones in water bodies with slow water exchange leads to lower self-purification ability of the aquatic environment and its secondary pollution due to the sediments. Because of this significantly increases the concentration of ammonia nitrogen, inorganic phosphorus, manganese and iron, decreases of the binding degree of metal ions in complexes with natural organic ligands and slows down the process of their detoxification. Among a number of abiotic and biotic factors contributing to increased exes of dissolved oxygen for oxidation and degradation of substances hydrological, in particular hydrodynamic conditions functioning of water bodies with slow water exchange occupy an important place. Recommendations for the use of the results. The research results are important scientific basis for assessing the role of abiotic environmental factors at their performance in extreme on formation hydrochemical regime of water objects in urban areas and the development of scientifically based measures to improve the ecological state of reservoirs and the aquatic environment quality.
