The subject of research - water resources of Kuyal'nickiy liman.The object of research - Kuyal'nickiy liman of north-western part of the Black Sea and its basin, hydrological regime and hydroecological conditions.The purpose of the research is substantiation of measures aimed at stabilization of the ecological state of Kuyal'nickiy liman on the basis of water resources studies, water and salt balance of the liman and modeling of spatial and temporal variability of hydrological and hydrodynamic characteristics of the liman waters. Research methods are stochastic model of "climate-runoff", which allows to determine the water resources of the rivers under global warming on the basis of climate change scenarios, numerical mathematical modeling of water-salt balance, hydrological and hydroecological processes in Kuyal'nickiy liman. The description of the natural resources of the Kuyal'nickiy liman basin in conditions of ecological crisis and changes in meteorological and hydrological regimes is given. Changes of climatic factors in the Kuyal'nickiy liman basin and the North-West Black Sea are established. Using a stochastic model "climate-runoff" on the basis of historical data the water resources, impact of water management on it and the effects of global warming are evaluated. On the basis of meteorological characteristics the most likely climate change scenario in the XXI century is selected. The possible changes of climatic factors in the Kuyal'nickiy liman catchment according to the selected scenario are determined. The characteristics of the natural and domestic rivers flow in the future conditions (A1B scenario, the model REMO) are determined. The model of water-salt balance of the estuary and its verification is performed. The adaptation of hydrothermodynamic model Delft3D-FLOW to the conditions of the estuary is fulfilled. The water resources of the rivers that supply the liman are estimated. The degree of the water management influence, depending on the climate conditions is determined.
