The introduction of zinc oxide in the silver-alumina catalyst leads to increased dispersion of silver (shown by TEM) and increased conversion of nitric oxide to N2, which may be caused by the formation of zinc-containing centers which provide adsorption of reductant and its subsequent partial oxidation to intermediate of SCR process. It is shown that introduction of small amounts of palladium (0.1%) of the In-containing and binary In, Co-containing catalysts based on Al2O3, ZrO2 reduces temperature of nitrogen oxides transformation on 120-180 °C, when CO is used as the reductant. The highest activity, resistance to water vapour and sulfur compounds is found for the catalyst 0,1% Pd/2,5% In2O3/5% Co3O4/ZrO2. It was established that the activity of indium and tin-containing zeolite catalysts in the reduction of nitrogen oxides by hydrocarbons, including SCR - process, depends on the presence of surface Bronsted acid sites. 5%In2O3/H-BEA and AlSn-H-BEA show higher activity (conversion of nitrogen oxides (I, II) is 73-87% in the temperature range of 270-500 °C ) due to greater availability of Bronsted acid sites.
